What Is the Metaverse?

As of today, considerable time has passed since the concepts of 'bitcoin' and 'crypto' became widespread. Both in the early stages and even now, these concepts, referred to by each of us as 'network toys' for investment, have caused a tremendous shaking around the world. Now to the Metaverse concept; for the Metaverse, there is no trace of the dismissiveness encountered before. The main reason for this is undoubtedly that crypto assets currently hold a serious commercial position. The perception around the Metaverse is well known, but what is the metaverse, and what does it promise us? In this section, we believe that it should not be respected solely by getting caught up in the wind of popularity, but rather examined and researched for what it 'really' is. Let's take a close look at the Metaverse together, freeing ourselves from the perceptions created by crypto assets.

The Metaverse in Brief..
From a technical perspective, it would be most appropriate to proceed with the concept of 'virtual universe' used for Metaverse in Turkish. We can define the virtual universe as a 3D, socially and commercially shaped space accessible via computer or virtual reality devices, shaping both daily life and the internet.

The fact that this definition is pregnant with countless scenarios attracts the interest of many groups, including software developers, designers, artists, and investors — perhaps you among them — while also accelerating the spread of this technology. So much so that many people already working in different areas have suddenly focused on the metaverse just because of the potential opportunities it could offer. It should be noted: this may not be a very healthy tendency.

To match this people's intense interest in the metaverse concept, many new projects are being launched one after another. Even the presence of just a few important names behind these ideas or products that emerge under the title of 'projects' is enough to make them commercially important assets. As those interested in crypto might attest, in light of the major fluctuations experienced previously, it could be said that only a few important names should not be the basis for these 'assets.'

Although the Metaverse is gradually entering our lives as a concept, in terms of form it has also appeared before us through some important projects in the past. Particularly in terms of concept, the online game Second Life contained many of the qualities currently defined within the Metaverse. Many possibilities we hear about on the Metaverse side, such as simulation, in-game economy, and social activity, already existed in this game. And the game was released in 2003...

In short, the metaverse is not something that has appeared before us for the first time, but it is the first time it has been accepted by each of us as having the potential to change the order. Currently, even many firms with global business networks have projects related to this field.
We have briefly discussed the history of the Metaverse and the perceptions it has created among people. From this point on, we will address the metaverse section by section.

1) The current state of the Metaverse should only give an idea for its future!
It is possible to say that many 'assets' that have emerged in the name of the Metaverse have created an important perception right now. The easiest example: the Decentraland project, referred to as MANA on the exchange. Although the project is a leader in volume and recognition, it has no impact beyond giving an idea of the Metaverse. This must be acknowledged: the project in question promises a tremendously wide life simulation. But this is limited to Decentraland alone; when it comes to the Metaverse, do not get stuck on a single project or idea, and make sure to broaden your horizons.

2) Do not trade in Metaverse Coins without knowing what they represent!
All projects emerging in the Metaverse category have a counterpart on the exchange as Tokens and Coins. The ones with the most volume in the sector right now are coins like MANA, SAND, and AXS, used as examples above. MANA, SAND, AXS, and all other assets (yes, you are right, this is a bit confusing, but the operation on the blockchain is unfortunately quite interwoven and complex) are named within the sector as metaverse coins. Although these assets within the cryptocurrency exchange have a value, the fundamental basis of all of them is the projects they are tied to and therefore the visions of their projects; this should not be forgotten.

3) The relationship between the Metaverse and NFT assets is important for understanding the future of crypto!
Non-Fungible Tokens, or NFTs, which all of us mention, are classified similarly to cryptocurrencies, but when it comes to the Metaverse, it is possible to see the sharp difference between them. In a large majority of projects launched in the Metaverse category, assets produced as NFTs can be integrated. As an example, you can display a design you purchased on OpenSea in your area within the Decentraland project. From this, we can also say: NFTs may be the most widespread value group in the envisioned Metaverse environment.

Would it be an exaggeration to say that the widest creation pool the human mind has produced so far will be built on the Metaverse? Considering what gaining such a broad perspective brings, we do not think this comment is wrong at all.

To bring the discussion to a conclusion; the concept of reflection can be said to be the analogy that best summarizes the metaverse among comparisons made for it. The Metaverse described right now places the concept of 'virtual integration' alongside the concepts of 'investment' and 'commerce' that come to mind when blockchain technologies are mentioned. The full-time realization of major projects launched and to be launched in the future has the potential to fundamentally change human life.
